The room was buzzing as the audience awaited the start of this years recital. The seats filled and quieted down and the students began to perform what they had been working on up ’til this point. Each student had their own set of nerves, different experiences, and levels of focus and concentration. From start to finish, the students displayed their professionalism and composure while showcasing how they’ve progressed since last year.
I am extremely proud of these students for the work they have done. I do believe that live performances not only allow them to share what they’re working on with piano, but also allows them to develop themselves under the pressure of a controlled and loving environment. I have had the pleasure of watching them grow throughout the years and celebrate each success they continue to have.
